I have no special talents.
I am only passionately curious.

-Albert Einstein

Mr. Einstein did not simply self-identify as a curious individual; no, he described himself as passionately curious. In another quote, he encourages us to possess a “holy curiosity” in order to help “make your life worth living.” I love these enhancements of curiosity; I like pushing the envelope here to be as descriptive as possible. Why simply be curious when you can be passionately curious instead? Proceed through life with a holy curiosity that cannot be quenched. Sadly, others will try to stifle it, perhaps out of jealousy or envy.

They should stay in their lane where they should focus their curiosity. I choose to channel my curiosity within my lane; I like questioning as much as I can. I think it is too boring to pretend that you already know everything. It is not true, and it can stunt potential growth. Curiosity should be balanced appropriately while it bridges divides with loving change.

The hallmark of an open mind is not letting your ideas become your identity. If you define yourself by your opinions, questioning them is a threat to your integrity. If you see yourself as a curious person or a lifelong learner, changing your mind is a moment of growth.

-Adam Grant

Curiosity helps curb any know-it-all natures out there. I struggle with that trait at times, and it is difficult for me to “take my medicine,” but I know I will feel better afterwards. By recognizing my fault and owning it in those moments, I can still learn and improve. I can circle back to that state of curiosity and remind myself that I do not have many answers.

Maybe what we all need to hear is that it is perfectly fine to mess up. We all make mistakes. Will you own them, though, or will you try to cover them up or shift blame? What are you so afraid of if your tendency falls into the latter part there? Why do you cling to some broken delusion that holds you back from potential personal progression?

Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.

-Marie Curie

There is a lot that we do not know. Let us all start there so we share common ground. We share this one space together. Let us all play nicely in it side-by-side please. Let us not belittle one another for asking questions, even if you think it is silly or foolish. I hate the thought of anyone feeling like they should hold back any questions for fear of shame. Curiosity should be treasured; I hold mine near and dear to me, holily and passionately.

Stay curious, y’all :) <3

Maybe it is wise. Maybe it is dumb. Time will tell.
