Be here. Now. In this moment.
There can be such quiet and peace.
Acceptance is the key; being okay with what currently is.
Learning to ease off on the need to control every. minute. detail.
Like one point last week, do not get in your own way; else, you will derail.
We will all do that from time to time. Accept that fact, then learn from it. Grow because of it. Acceptance is not complacence; it is acknowledgement to align appropriate action.
I am amused by how many recent cycles focus on work for oneself as much as work with others. Self-acceptance could arguably be more important than working on accepting others. We struggle enough to control our own lives, so why waste precious minutes wishing how another would act? I guess we want the break from working on ourselves for a bit. What a neat thought to recognize and then work on accepting. When starting to compare or attempting to direct others, spin it back. What can you adapt to do better here? How can you improve this moment now? Accept what is, and adjust accordingly.
Acceptance can stop the constant dialogue that may be running in your mind. Instead of mulling over multiple what-ifs, recognize what is here and now. As you begin to accept the current state, you can plan and play out your next actions. You can step beyond the individual and move with the mind for the masses. The difference is that your mind is in this moment. It is not elsewhere, uninvested from the present. Accept being here, now.
Being here now helps you identify where you are. That is the first true step before beginning to ask yourself where you want to go. You have your lane. Where will you point it? What will you do with it? Like me, will you work on more acceptance? :)
If you are up for it, stop and give yourself a hug.
Take this moment to be kind to yourself.
When did that last happen?
Work on it more this week :)
Maybe it is wise. Maybe it is dumb. Time will tell.
