While the approach to Thanksday for this cycle is odder, please do not be grumpy with my dopiness. I am thankful for Snow White and the idea that she represents. While the four main virtues that are taught to her by her father are fearless, fair, brave, and true, I think kindness is something that she cultivates personally and plentifully. Yes, I know it is a fairy tale so the character can be however they are written, but how truly different is that from our lives? We are living our tale and can create our characteristics and values.
You can always, always give something, even if it is only kindness!
-Anne Frank
Snow White lost her mom due to a sickness at an early age. Her family met a charming woman who bewitched them all with her cunning deceitfulness. Many horrible events litter Snow White’s lane, but she did not lose her tune or her ability to whistle while she works. She did not let her view of the world get clouded or muddied. Snow White chose to still be friendly and kind with all whom she crossed paths with. What saved her from the huntsman who had been ordered to murder her? Her authentic and genuine kindness.
Kindness is invincible, but only when it’s sincere, not faking anything or putting on a show.
-Marcus Aurelius
I believe that kindness can be sensed in the spirit. Think of how animals react to different people and situations. What clues cue them to behave in certain ways? The vibe that you emit can be positive and enticing, or it can be negative and deterring. How aware of your aura are you? Can you be kind to yourself and begin cleaning up your own energy some?
Nonviolence and kindness to living beings is kindness to oneself.
-Mahavira
Genuine kindness is how good things grow. What are you currently growing? Are your flourishing actions conscious or unconscious? Can you take on a more active role in your gardening within your lane? I sugjest sharing your bountiful abundance generously.
I’ve been searching for ways to heal myself, and I’ve found that kindness is the best way.
-Lady Gaga
Kindness seems to often be overlooked and/or underrated in my experience. It is such a difficult behavior to maintain with consistency. When we do not feel it returned, it can be startling and disruptive to decipher and deal with. We should not let it derail us, though. Regardless of how others act, we can still choose kindness, and I highly recommend it. Maintaining such a beneficial behavior will be viewed by many as basically a miracle.
Sometimes miracles are just good people with kind hearts.

People all around you are waiting on a wish. What if you can help it come true? Kindness will unlock many doors, both within yourself and within those who you cross paths with. Will you spread echoing cheer and optimism, encouraging an entire community to thrive?
Maybe it is wise. Maybe it is dumb. Time will tell.
