Mournday – 092225

Today, I mourn for any and all individuals who feel faithless. You may say you do not have faith, but I think it is there. You are simply not feeling it or remaining in tune with it. When will you be ready to feel it? Can you at least fathom the idea of faith? Why did you lose your connection to it? Can you point to that point in the past? Can you process that pent-up pain or frustration at long last? Do you realize you are only holding yourself back?

People who believe they do not have faith are wrong; they simply don’t realize it, or don’t want it, or cannot express it.

-Leo Tolstoy

If a person has problems, there can be only one root cause: lack of faith. The same is true within human societies as a whole.

-Leo Tolstoy

Faith does not guarantee or grant passage to smooth sailing. If anything, it can and does often prompt the exact opposite because, when we strengthen our internal faculties, we become more capable of carrying and handling more. Our potential and the tests we face both increase in some proportional manner. So, do you give up when the good going gets tough, or do you buckle down and grin your way through? Do you have faith in yourself?

Faithless [are they that say] farewell when the road darkens.

-J.R.R. Tolkien

Beyond feeling faithless, I sugjest also considering where you place your faith if you do possess some amount of it currently. Do you prescribe to the almighty dollar or its saying (In God We Trust)? Do you put your faith in your fellow humans or in a greater being? Misguided or misdirected faith can prove problematic if not reviewed and revised. My proposed sugjestion is to patiently pour it into the proper, positive power for all please.

A foolish faith in authority is the worst enemy of truth.

-Albert Einstein

Revisiting a topic from earlier this cycle, faith is best exemplified through actions and not words. How do you think we will all be judged in the end? Maybe you think we will not be judged. You are entitled to your own beliefs, but I plan to be ready for whatever comes next. I want to be proud of my productivity and peacefulness here. I want my faith to glowingly exude from even my most basic actions if I can stay calm and mindfully present in all that I do, even when it is simply sitting still with serene satisfaction.

Faith is about doing. You are how you act, not just how you believe.

-Mitch Albom

Do you lack or not feel faith because you try to control too much? Are you missing that connection as a result of connecting to too much else? I hated change and the unknown in the past. I am not proud to admit that fact now, but it is the truth. In the present, I sit more comfortably with both. They can be difficult for me at times, but they have also impressed me beyond my wildest imaginations. Life would be so boring if we already knew it all, so I am happily placing some faith in change and the unknown nowadays.

Fear looks; faith jumps.

-Smith Wigglesworth

Faith is a place of mystery, where we find the courage to believe in what we cannot see and the strength to let go of our fear of uncertainty.

-Brené Brown

How much are you trying to prove or waiting to hear or see before believing and tapping into your faith again? What will it take for you to finally step back into a co-creator role with the universe? How much more time needs to be wasted in search or expectation of an explanation? Will you slow down in faith and find the beauty awaiting all around?

To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible.

-Thomas Aquinas

I honestly and sincerely hope that you find and feel your faith freely.

Maybe it is wise. Maybe it is dumb. Time will tell.
