I am thankful for God. In some ways, I am ashamed that it has taken me this long to write this post. In other ways, I know how slowly I have tried to approach stigmatized subjects. After all, I do not refer to God specifically within the view of a single religion because I identify as an omnist. I would be remiss in this cycle if I did not take the opportunity to reflect on and appreciate the “grace of God”. They have been so good to me. I think I should be dead a few times over by now, yet I am still here. I am very, very thankful for it.
For grace is given not because we have done good works, but in order that we may be able to do them.
-Saint Augustine
By God’s generous grace, I keep carrying on. I have flirted closely with death more than I care to admit, but my time has not come yet. Those moments help me to recognize and be grateful for even more moments. How many others around my age or younger have already run out of their moments and memories? I believe we are all here by grace, and that is why we should all move forward gracefully, glittering and gleaming gleefully.
Love is holy because it is like grace – the worthiness of its object is never really what matters.
-Marilynne Robinson
Life can be or feel so hard at times. Lean on others when you need to. Lean on God. We are not alone in this life. It may feel that way sometimes, but that is only because we are closing our own mind off. Give yourself some grace. Open your mind back up to positive possibilities, to peaceful and pure potential. Give and get grace to and from everyone.
God has given you grace. Maybe you should give yourself some, too.
-Todd Stocker
Tao. Dharma. Karma. God. Jehovah. Allah. Vishnu. Shiva. Great Creator. Grand Architect. No matter which name(s) you choose to use, acknowledge and express gratitude for the grace granted to you. Then, please do your best to go forth granting more of it, too.
The ultimate test of our spirituality is the measure of our amazement at the grace of God.
-D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones
I have seen enough in my life to be absolutely amazed and astonished by what all is possible in this world. True wisdom is indescribable and illuminating, so look within.
Wahe Guru.
Maybe it is wise. Maybe it is dumb. Time will tell.
