Once restorative and rejuvenating rest has been established, it becomes far easier to begin to strengthen humility. Pride can sweep in quickly if you are not careful and cautious. Humility often felt like a soft or weak skill to me, but I now realize that it is the opposite, at least for me. Humility is a strong counterweight to our ego. It supports a special steadfastness that surrounds you in safe and serene security. You can feel at peace knowing that you are doing your best. Be proud of your own actions if you are building your lane well and abiding by the guardrails. You do not need to hear the outside encouragement to know you are doing well. Remind your own self that you are doing so well. Many will not see it, but it does not matter. You see it, and that can be enough, y’all.
To build a balanced bridge in your lane, humility can be an amazing anchor. Some may argue that it is the best first starting point possible. Otherwise, either too much recognition or utter lack of it can prove to be quite destabilizing for a person.
Humility can be one of your greatest assets, allies.
How great can you be? Not for others necessarily, but for your own self, you see?
Can you progress positively, doing the next best thing, for yourself? Whatever else happens, like benefits or rewards, is only a bonus. They are not the main product or purpose; in fact, they could even prove to be distractions. Use discernment to your advantage as you grow your greatness. Alice had her muchness. Do you, too? :)
Maybe it is wise. Maybe it is dumb. Time will tell.
