One of the sayings on a morning tea stopped me in my tracks as I felt the fuller weight behind it for the first time ever. How many times do we hear certain things repeatedly until it finally sounds and hits different? This reason is one of many as to why I remain hopeful. So much knowledge is still slowly sinking deeper into my being as I figure out more ways to be a better being. “Let your thoughts give hope, guidance, and upliftment to all.” I am thankful that many of thoughts were not heard by others when I was younger and dumber. What does that say about me, though? How well am I tending to my internal mental or psychological garden if I need to keep it gated and closed off from others? If I am ashamed of my thoughts, then that is a key message for me to pay closer attention to. As I gradually reduce the passing judgments and scathing remarks that used to cross my mind, I find a calmer and more peaceful scene that feels better and healthier.
All it takes is one good person to restore hope.
-Pope Francis
Wishing others well does not require any extra effort than my prior negativities. It is only an adjustment in my perspective to employ empathetic concern for others versus selfish competition. We can all win, and I hope for that future with every fiber of my being. I will continue to work on cleaning and purifying as many of my thoughts as possible in order to spread as much love as I can. If thoughts require additional consideration, then how about actions and spoken words? Now, imagine if we all tried to do something similar :)
If we all worked on the assumption that what is accepted as true is really true, there would be little hope of advance.
-Orville Wright
What drives you and your advancements? Are you looking towards your brightest hopes, or are you running from your darkest fears? Do you know how to stop having nightmares? You sit with them. You stop and face the situation, and you find out that all your running was wasted energy. Instead, step up and stand up to face your fear. Let hope guide you.
Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work; you don’t give up.
-Anne Lamott
When you no longer have nightmares, then you can fear dreams less. When you fear dreams less, then you can start to see the powerful potential behind and within them. Hope and dreams are what will brighten our horizons with new prospects and ideas that propel our positive momentum forward. Dream big. Hope absolutely. Drive your fate.
Everyone must dream. We dream to give ourselves hope. To stop dreaming – well, that’s like saying you can never change your fate.
-Amy Tan
Hope is a choice. Please do not forget that. Are you choosing to be hopeful? I certainly hope so. In a recent news article that I read this morning, Atlanta local Susan Jaeskce was quoted saying, “you might not have two pennies to rub together, but there’s always a little bit of hope that you can find.” Are you finding your hope? Will you give it a try?
Once you choose hope, anything’s possible.
-Christopher Reeve
I hope you will set your own expectations and limits for life in your lane. If others do not have as big of an imagination or creative reservoir as you, should that stop you or hold you back? I do not think so, so I hope you will only allow your limits to be your limits. Maybe you will even eventually reach a point of no limits. Now there is a big dream :)
It is difficult to say what is impossible, for the dream of yesterday is the hope of today and the reality of tomorrow.
-Robert H. Goddard
While there is life, there’s hope.
-John Gay
I hope you will dream some big dreams, and I hope you discover and live your best life.
Maybe it is wise. Maybe it is dumb. Time will tell.
