Have you ever wondered… about mantras? I have. I use them a lot, probably multiple times each and every day. They are truths for you to hold near and dear whenever a mental reset may be needed to course correct a current current of emotions that may have derailed you from your fortress of fortitude. Mantras can guide you back to your North Star, your best path forward in each and every moment. You can reference existing ones, or you can make your own based on what resonates best with you at your core.

Fortitude is a great help in distress.

For me, the guardrails are some of my favorite mantras. I recently reduced them all to a single word as a fun and silly exercise to exercise my brain and creativity some when it amused me: impeccable, impersonal, imassumptive, and iminopportune. I fully recognize that they get rather weird by the end, but I like the paved pattern. It promotes a positive permanence within my psyche now. While odd, it is easily memorable for me, too. That is the beauty of mantras. When you feel the truth of it deep within you, you know you have a gem to hold onto; you know this treasure can help you later on down the road in your lane. When times may be tough, call upon it. Allow it to settle and recenter your nerves.

Mantras exist in any and all languages. Again, you can follow along by adopting existing ones, and you can also flex your own creative muscles. Will you find or make at least one new mantra this week? I hope so, and I wish you the absolute best of luck with it :) <3

Maybe it is wise. Maybe it is dumb. Time will tell. Stay wondrous, y’all.
