Have you ever wondered… about the golden thread? I have. This idea existed in my mind for quite some time, but I heard about this specific term for it from one of my teachers. A possible infinite number of lives are at our disposal based on the choices we will make. Within this multitude, there exists one ideal path, our highest purpose. We can live a golden life if we find that thread, hold onto it, and follow it to its glowing, loving end.

Adhere to your purpose and you will soon feel as well as you ever did. On the contrary, if you falter, and give up, you will lose the power of keeping any resolution, and will regret it all your life.

-Abraham Lincoln

Have you ever wondered why some people have so much energy? How do they keep going and seem to be capable of doing it all? When your drive and purpose are aligned and fueled fully, most activities and interactions in life will leave you ready for more. Many of us struggle with maintaining energy and health when we lack vital meaning.

Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose.

-Helen Keller

Golden threads are not unhealthy or combative. They are collaborative and supportive of one another. I love this aspect. If you are not building a better world for everyone, then you are undoubtedly not following your best possible path. Mine deeper for core gold.

The purpose of life is to discover your gift. The work of life is to develop it. The meaning of life is to give your gift away.

-David Viscott

It is not easy to hold onto your golden thread and follow it through to its end, but it is absolutely worth it. I cannot think of a higher calling because I do not know what else would spread as much peace and prosperity other than our greatest possible purpose. Following your golden thread will provide many valuable moments to learn and grow.

The purpose of life for [humans] is growth,
just as the purpose of life for trees and plants is growth.

-Wallace D. Wattles

I sincerely hope you will seek out and pursue your purest and most positive path. How is your best life’s purpose going to sparkle, shine, and glow in radiant and everlasting gold?

Maybe it is wise. Maybe it is dumb. Time will tell. Stay wondrous, y’all :)
